SingleThread was delighted to host Richard Geoffroy of IWA Sake in late November for a special collaboration in celebration of IWA Sake's anticipated US release.
Chef Kyle Connaughton and the SingleThread culinary team worked with Geoffroy on a seasonal 10-course menu designed to be paired with IWA's incredible sakes.

Introducing the SingleThread Pantry Line
We are thrilled to formally unveil SingleThread's Pantry Line just in time for the holiday season.
These products originated in the restaurant kitchen and have slowly made their way onto our seasonal menus, and more recently, into the homes of our guests.
Inspired by SingleThread Farm at Dry Creek, the greater agricultural region of Sonoma County, and the rich culinary traditions of Japan, we hope these products offer something that is both familiar and different. Something new to add to your shelf of favorites in your own kitchen.
The pantry line is now available for purchase at the Farm Store. Select items are also available as add-ons to your dinner experience when dining at SingleThread during the month of December.

SingleThread Furoshiki for Gift Wrapping
We are pleased to share that we now carry a custom designed SingleThread Furoshiki at The Farm Store.
Furoshiki is a traditional way to wrap gifts and belongings in Japan. It can be used from generation to generation and makes for a lovely heirloom. Our furoshiki is 100% cotton and is hand-dyed by Nagakan in Sendai, Japan.
Versatile and beautiful, Furoshiki can be used to wrap a variety of objects, from wine bottles, to packages of different shapes and sizes. Purchase your Furoshiki at The Farm Store or online here.

SingleThread Names New Wine Director
We are pleased to announce Chris McFall has moved into a larger role overseeing the entire beverage program as Wine Director at SingleThread. Most recently the restaurant’s Head Sommelier, Chris first gained recognition in his hometown of Austin, Texas when he was named Best New Sommelier by Wine & Spirits Magazine in 2012. Chris later managed and developed noteworthy programs at two-Michelin starred Lazy Bear in San Francisco prior to joining the SingleThread wine team in the spring of 2020.

SingleThread and Cuzen Matcha
Chef Kyle Connaughton is pleased to announce a new recipe collaboration with Oakland, California-based Cuzen Matcha.
Eijiro Tsukada, founder of Cuzen Matcha, and Chef Kyle first met in 2016. By 2020, the relationship between Cuzen Matcha and SingleThread expanded with both entrepreneurs experimenting with Cuzen Matcha’s high-quality, freshly ground matcha, which has a distinctly smooth, balanced flavor and gives the drinker a mellow, focused energy that lasts. Their goal was to develop recipes that would highlight the distinctive umami flavors found uniquely in Cuzen Matcha’s offering. Eventually Chef Kyle began to offer Cuzen Matcha machines in the SingleThread Inn’s guest rooms, as well as integrate its matcha into a selection of lattes and smoothies available to guests throughout the property.
Long in the making, their new recipe collection expands on those early experiments, giving matcha lovers and home cooks an easy and accessible way to enjoy high-quality matcha at home.
The first six recipes developed by Chef Kyle Connaughton for the SingleThread Matcha Recipe Collection include “Kyle & Katina’s Smoothie,” Vegetable Crudite with Matcha Mayo, Tencha Goma Shio/Matcha and Pea Onigiri, PaloMatcha (mocktail), Matcha Alfajores Cookies, and Japanese Style Matcha Cheesecake. “Kyle & Katina’s Smoothie” and Vegetable Crudite with Matcha Mayo are available now at Cuzenmatcha.com, with more added to the site each month. Additional Cuzen Matcha recipes and collaborations will launch later this year and into 2023.

SingleThread Supports Chill Foundation
Kyle and Katina are proud to be active supporters of the Chill Foundation, an organization that works to inspire youth to overcome challenges through boardsports.
Founded in 1995 by Jake and Donna Carpenter, founders of Burton Snowboards, Chill has served more than 30,000 young people since the program began. Chill offers programming to youth at no cost, partnering with community organizations, schools and juvenile justice programs in 24 cities and 9 countries across the world.
As longtime boardsports fans themselves, Kyle and Katina share a deep commitment to furthering opportunities for youth through promoting boardsports.
In support of Chill Foundation, SingleThread will be teaming up with friends and fellow boardsports enthusiasts Duncan Arnot Meyers and Nathan Lee Roberts, founders of Arnot-Roberts Winery. Together SingleThread and Arnot-Roberts will offer an incredible Sonoma County experience benefitting Chill Foundation. One lucky winner will enjoy dinner for two at SingleThread, followed by an overnight stay at our Inn and also a private tasting and winery tour of Arnot-Roberts with Duncan and Nathan.

SingleThread Announces Singapore Residency
We are pleased to share that SingleThread will embark on its first Asian residency in Singapore this summer, beginning with a collaboration dinner with Odette Restaurant and Basque Kitchen by Aitor on June 29th.
Starting on July 1, a small team from SingleThread will take residency at one-Michelin-starred Basque Kitchen by Aitor at The Fullerton Waterboat House. This residency is an opportunity for the SingleThread team to express their culinary creativity to a new international audience, showcase Sonoma's agricultural footprint and biodiversity, and also learn from and explore Singapore's diverse culinary influences.

SingleThread and L'Effervescence
Chef Kyle, Katina and some of the SingleThread team are traveling to Japan at the end of May to celebrate twenty years of friendship with Chef Namae Shinobu of L'Effervesence in Tokyo, Japan.
This is the team's first return to Japan in over two years and is a special opportunity to continue two decades of collaboration, as well as continue seafood sustainability initiatives locally with the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries.
Kyle, Katina and Name-san originally met during their time at Michel Bras in Hokkaido and they later worked together again at Heston Blumenthal's The Fat Duck in Bray, England. The Connaughtons and Namae-san felt an immediate kinship and have continued to collaborate and support each other as an extended family, cooking together and participating in educational events all over the world, at SingleThread in Healdsburg, and now at L'Effervescence in Tokyo!
The special collaboration dinner will take place at L'Effervescence on Monday, May 30th. Booking details can be found here. L'Effervesence is currently ranked #26 on the World's 50 Best Restaurant List and holds three Michelin stars.

Little Saint Opens in Healdsburg
We are delighted to share that Little Saint is now open in downtown Healdsburg. Little Saint is a community gathering place, plant-based restaurant and cafe, cocktail bar, wine + provisions shop, and much more.
Little Saint's partnership with Saint Joseph's Arts Foundation will also showcase incredible music, art, and educational programming benefitting the local community. Little Saint Farm and SingleThread Farm at Dry Creek will be the main source of diverse ingredients that appear on our menus, serving as the backbone of our farm-forward ethos.
